It occurred to me today that when we have affiliate memberships to Amazon, Adsense, Ebay etc. we think only of using our websites to monetize them … could they not be used on their own as well to generate additional income?
So, I did some quick research and came across www.HubPages.com and was quite blown away that I had missed this! In a nutshell, you can write about absolutely anything you want to (except adult and illegal) and get paid. This is a short synopsis of how it works, you sign up for afree account, complete all your details together with your affiliate codes and then, using their very intuitive ‘create a Hub’ page you design your page. You decide where to place affiliate ads, video, images etc. and even the url of the page – then publish.
Enjoyable as this sounds we all need to make money, and this is where it gets really clever. There are your affiliate ads all over the page and you receive a share of it and HubPages receives a share.
I am going to have a go over the next few days and post the link to my new HubPage here, if you feel like doing the same would be great to post the link to your page in the comments so we can all visit. I found one great hub page here which is a good place to start for a bit of advice, something else I picked up was that once published you should promote it on Digg.

Hubpages is great specially when you are just starting out to learn how to earn online. Hubpages is spidered frequently so you know that the pages you create will get found by the search engines soon enough. When writing a hub, concentrate on finding a profitable topic and don’t worry about promotion when you’re just starting. Soon you’ll see a trickle of earnings. The trickles will turn into real income if you just keep at it.
