Make your Amazon Store Scroll

We get asked a lot why there is a huge white space under the Amazon store on their website. The reason for this is that it is a feed direct from Amazon and the page needs to be a set height for all pages. Therefore if you click on one of your products you will see that the content text and images make the page longer and there will no longer be such a white space at the bottom.

There is a way around this which is to add scrolling – see this website as an example of where scrolling around the store has been used www.liverpoolfcden.com . This means that if you wanted to you could now easily add banners or anything else, directly below your store.

The way to do this is very easy and I have detailed the steps below:

1. Login to your wp-admin area

2. Go to Pages > Edit

3. Find the page you wish to edit, it might be Home or it might be Store, depending on your website setup, click to edit this page

4. Make sure your page is in HTML edit mode (small tab top right of edit box) and you will see the following code (obviously with your Amazon id in it)

<div align=”center”><iframe src=”http://astore.amazon.co.uk/liverpoofcden-21” width=”100%” height=”1200″ frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no”></iframe>

You now need to change the scrolling to “yes”

5. Now you have inserted the scrolling but the page is still set to a height of 1200, if you change this to 900 you should find you have a good height.

6. Click update page on the right and you now have made your Amazon store scroll.
