Help, I am new at having a web site and some of my questions may sounds off to the pro's but need help.
1. Amazon wrote "We don't accept applications with a URL that includes trademarked words. This
also includes variations or misspellings of any trademarked words." My questions is with the website title, "Twilight New Moon.biz. Is this in any ay breaking the trademark law
2. When I search for my products on Amazon.com. I see all of the sellers, but mine is not listed. On my website it shows that it is listed and sold, Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. Should the products off my website be listed on Amazon as the seller of such. Should it say Seller and have newmoontwilight.biz listed as seller. None of the items on my website listed as seller? Is this normal since Amazon is listed as seller.
3. If so, how do I get paid off the site if Amazon is listed as seller? How do they know when they search on Amazon that my item as listed.

I know for the pro's these are very simple questions but I need to know

Hi Carrie1456 and welcome to the forum. I will try to answer your questions.

1. This is something Amazon have decided to do and as you know we have a 'get around' for this which we implemented with your site.

2. There is some confusion here; you are an affiliate of Amazon not the other way around, which means that you are paid a % to sell their products, they are not your products, you are just the middleman.

3. In the code on your site is a reference which is your shop id. When anyone comes through your site and purchases, Amazon knows it is you from that code and will give you a % of the sale. This will then show in your Amazon account. The way to double check this is to login to your Amazon Associates area and look for your id on the left of the page…will be something like turnkeydesig-19. Then vist your wp-admin area, look under pages and find your store page and select edit. You will then see the code for the Amazon store which you will see has your unique id in it.

Penny,

Thank for getting back so quick. I knew I was an affiliate of Amazon, but did not understand how the pay work. And you next answer number 3 clear that up.

Just a little excited to get up and going. Make sure I understood everything.

Thanks

Carrie Elizabeth

Hey Penny,

I found it! It's where you write about the way to 'get around' to registering building websites using domain names with trade mark terms on them. A couple of my used domain names with GoDaddy happen to be in this category, and now I am reluctant to using them…
Could you tell me more about this?

Many thanks in advance!
