If you don’t have a privacy policy on your website, you should create one and ensure that you inform your visitors about the tracking methodology used by Adsense. The easiest way to do this is to install a really neat plugin called Easy Privacy Policy.

Read on for the very easy process for installing the plugin.

  • Go to wp-admin and then click on Plugins in left column
  • At the top right of this page next to 'Howdy' click on install plugins
  • In the search box,  type easy privacy policy
  • It will be the top listing, click on install (far right)
  • Click the orange Install Now button, top right (don't worry if it says the plugin hasn't been tested on your version of WP)
  • Click Actions: activate plugin
  • Scroll down page to find easy privacy policy and click settings
  • You will probably only need to change your email address here and then update (section 3 does not need to be ticked unless you have an adult site)
  • Your new page will now be created and you will see it in your menu bar, it will probably be in the wrong place as ideally you want it at the end of the bar, after contact. Therfore go to Pages, click on edit for the Privacy policy page
  • On the right under attributes it says order with 0 in the box. When a page is 0 it will always go at the very start of the menu or straight after the Home button. Therefore change this to the last number eg if you have 6 menu buttons you will put number 6 in the box.
  • Click update page and you are done!

There are thousands of plugins for Wordpress which can be used in the same easy way. Just do a search for whatever you think would be advantageous for your site to have.
