During recent searches for my website to view my organic listing on Google, MSN etc., I came across this link: whois.domaintools.com/...(with name of website)
that displays sensitive personal information (home address, phone number, personal email etc.) I do not want made so blatantly available on the web. Is there anything I can do stop this?

Hey Penny,

Well understood, and thanks for the reply... speaking of which, it may be just that I am new and still trying to find my way around the forum map, but I am getting lost quite a bit, especially when trying to get back to a post I have previously read: sometimes I can't remember the exact title of the topic or the thread, and I would keep going back and forth clicking my way through, till I find it (I am currently looking for a post by carrie1456 - I think - specifically, something in your reply to her)...

Would a unique reference page with more detailed links to forums and threads help speed up the search?

Please note, though, that I would assign a 'zero' priority level to this suggestion... All in due time!

Hi Jose

Ok, I think you were adding the links incorrectly. What I have done is added a new links page links2 in which I tested it and it works fine.

So now what you need to do is add all your current links that are on your links page to the wp-admin area under Link Exchange > Links if you want them live. Then once they are all added, delete the page 'links' and then change the name of links2 to links. Finally go to Link exchange > select page and select 'links'

Hope that makes sense. I would also advise you to change disneytreasures.net so that your keyphrase is not 'disneytreasures.net' but maybe 'disney website' or something similar, so it reads
disney website. You also have an extra slash there which shouldn't be. This is in Link Exchange > Configuration.

Penny

Hello Penny

Im having a problem figuring out the activation steps for the Link Exchane WP plugin on my disney site; I dont know what's next after its activated?

so, I ended up creating a new page and called it "links".(http://disneytreasures.net/contact/links/)

This is for all the "reciprocal required" directories that I want to join.

however, when I put their html code there, 90% of the sites come back with this…

A link to..blank. could not be found at the specified URL.

Is it me or them?

jose

Hi Jose
As you post new posts they do show on the front page and the others move off the page, there should be a 'see older posts' tab at the bottom of the page, which they can click to go to older posts.
I have my posts in categories and have just installed a plugin called 'Yet Another Related Posts Plugin' and when you write a post it automatically adds links to any similar posts. I'm quite impressed with it and it might help you with this issue.

Interesting that i posted this yesturday, since today they now gave me a funny response

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after
reviewing your application, we're unable to accept you into Google AdSense
at this time.

We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.

Issues:

- Under construction

---------------------

Further detail:

Under construction: We've found that your site's pages are incomplete or
under construction. To be considered for AdSense, we require websites to
be fully launched and functioning, allowing users to navigate throughout
your site with a menu, sitemap, or appropriate links. Your site must also
contain enough content for our specialists to review and to display
relevant ads. Once the majority of your site is complete and functional,
we'll be happy to reconsider your application

Although this will give me some more time to create my own videos etc and do a complete new relaunch, i think this benefits me in some way
