I have had a few enquiries recently regarding options to speed up your website. It is possible to easily add 3 plugins which should make some difference, these are:
Chennai Central – a bandwidth saver plugin that makes your wordpress site support conditional GETs by search engine crawlers , feed readers and more.
WP Super Cache – This plugin generates static html files from your dynamic WordPress blog. After a html file is generated your webserver will serve that file instead of processing the comparatively heavier and more expensive WordPress PHP scripts.
Cbnet Ping Optimizer – Do you know your WordPress blog pings unnecessarily every time you edit a post? Think how many times you click on “Save and Continue Editing” or “Save” button. Your blog will ping unnecessarily that many times you click on those buttons.
If you haven’t yet added a plugin yourself, check out this video which shows how easy it is – Installing a Wordpress plugin easily
The other option is to purchase your own hosting from www.turnkey-designs.com/hosting if you currently use our hosting. Ours is a free service and will not be as fast as having your own hosting for approximately $7 a month. If you do this we will be happy to move your websites free of charge.

Nice tips – I also always do one thing. While adding images to any post, i make sure to resize them with tools like picnik (rather than resize them from wordpress editor itself). Additionally Such tools can also help in resizing overall size of images. Which ultimately can help in improving page load speed.
Good point Joel, thanks
